The SRV record

TypeSRV
HoldsThe host and port for a service
Used toRun Minecraft, SIP, XMPP or Microsoft 365 autodiscover on a custom host and port.
Example_minecraft._tcp.example.com. 3600 IN SRV 0 5 25565 mc.example.com.
Command Linedig +short example.com SRV

The name has the form _service._protocol.domain. The values are priority, weight, port and target host.

Records are cached for their TTL, so a changed SRV record can take up to the old TTL to show everywhere. Lower the TTL a day before planned changes.
