About SOA Record Checker

SOA Record Checker looks up a domain's Start of Authority record, the DNS record that names the primary nameserver, the zone's administrative contact, and the timing values resolvers use to know when to refresh their cached copy.

Use this to confirm a zone's serial number actually incremented after a change, which is how secondary nameservers know to pull an update, or to check the refresh and retry intervals when diagnosing slow propagation.

The hostmaster field is an email address with the @ replaced by a dot, a DNS record format convention rather than a formatting error, so admin.example.com in that field means admin@example.com.
