DNS Propagation

DNS Propagation queries a domain's A record against several major public resolvers at once, Cloudflare, Google, Quad9 and OpenDNS among them, and shows whether they already agree or are still holding different cached answers.

This is the tool to reach for right after changing a domain's DNS records, to see how far a change has actually spread rather than guessing from what your own device happens to show, which may just be a locally cached answer either way.

Resolvers disagreeing shortly after a change is completely normal and not a fault. Each one caches the previous answer for as long as its TTL allowed, so full agreement can take anywhere from a few minutes to the better part of a day depending on how the record was configured beforehand.
