Favicon Checker

Favicon Checker looks for a page's declared favicon link tag, falling back to the conventional /favicon.ico location if none is declared, and confirms whether it actually loads.

Use this after a redesign or migration to confirm the favicon survived the move, or when a browser tab is showing a generic icon and you want to know whether that is a missing file or a caching issue on your end.

Browsers cache favicons aggressively, so a favicon that checks out fine here can still take a while to update in a browser that already has an old one cached for that domain.
