Getting Started

Install and Connect a Server

Run the Frabs installer, register the server, and verify the first security snapshot.

Overview

Frabs connects to a VPS or dedicated server by installing the Frabs runtime directly on the server. The installer stores the token, registers the server, enables the required services, and sends the first snapshot back to the Frabs dashboard.

Install Flow

Start from the Frabs dashboard and copy the install command for the server you want to protect. Run the command as root on the target server. The installer will verify the token, install dependencies, create the Frabs services, and register the server with Frabs.

First Snapshot

After installation, Frabs immediately sends SSH configuration, firewall state, Fail2Ban state, and initial event data so the app can render the server without waiting for a long warm-up period.

What To Check

When onboarding is complete, confirm that the server appears online in the Frabs dashboard, that last check-in is current, and that the Threats, Logins, Firewall, and Hardening pages all show live data.
